Toronto, Ontario Hotel Reviews
Recognizing Some Key Employees
I wanted to let you know about two great staff members who made my stay that much better. Umesh took great care of me when accommodating me and my needs. He is fun to talk to and really made me feel welcomed.
John on the other hand, greeted me every morning before I did my morning workout at the gym. He helped me with faxing documents back to home office and shared many good conversations that ranged from sports to the beauty of the Toronto. My last day at the hotel, I asked Umesh if he could arrange a cab for me. I was headed for a friend's house. John overheard where I was going and happily volunteered to drop me off because that was in the same direction he was headed when his shift was over.
I was utterly surprised of his willingness to take me to my destination so that I can save a few bucks from cab fare. Umesh thanked him as well for doing such a wonderful gesture.
These two people really exceeded my expectations when staying a hotel. Please recognize them for their hard work and great hospitality.
Hotel staff was extremely nice and helpful
I stayed in this hotel for 5 nights with my husband and toddler. Hotel staff was extremely nice and helpful. Room on executive floor was standard but very clean and in good condition. Room did not include a bar fridge which is helpful when you have a small child but came with complimentary buffet breakfast. Property includes convenience store and outdoor and indoor pools which is great for families. Free wireless Internet worked well. Complimentary shuttle service in the morning is great for getting to meetings in surrounding area. Overall, great value for
your money.

Affordability, Hospitality , Amenities, and the Food is Outstanding
We stayed at the Don Valley Hotel several times in June and July, while working in the City. We have stayed in hotels all around Canada, and I have to say this one rates in the top 5 for cleanliness , affordability, hospitality , amenities, and the food is outstanding. They have a chef that should be working in a 5-star restaurant. The restaurant is basically in the bar area, and the menu, while not extensive, has been definitely perfected by this amazing chef. The bartender, a real pro, makes you feel right at home. Housekeeping, customer service, the staff at the front desk, all top-notch professionals. Two pools, workout room, banquet facilities, lots of space, and well laid out, nestled against the Don Valley. They don't make hotels like this anymore. Do yourself a favor and check them out on your next trip to Toronto.
